To ETF or not to ETF?

Bull and Bear ETF’s such as DIG / DUG, ERX / ERY became extremely popular among investors and many seemed to reap the benefits of them. However, lately the performance of these ETFs makes no sense whatsoever. Sometimes it seems like pro investors have left the market for now and all is left is either shorties, armatures, day traders, swing traders or scared investors. I have noticed that market is so volatile right now that it crashes on the news that someone just farted in the white house.

Lots and lots of stocks are moving merely on the bailout news’s. So the question is: Should even bother to play with this market? Or wait until Obama comes in the office?

In any case the profit making now requires very good skills. IMHO.
